President's Welcome

Sustaining the Legacy of Advocacy for Women and Girls of Color by Women with Purpose

Barbara_McFaddenThe National Coalition of 100 Black Women Long Island Chapter, Inc. continues to carry on the legacy established more than 45 years by our founders. We represent a committed group of intergenerational women. Our members represent the entire spectrum of women from a variety of professions, levels of employment, and education. This unique cadre of women facilitate our reach wherever Women of Color are found. Our annual programs are connected to the national agenda of the National Coalition of Black Women-Community Services Fund. These programs address issues related to health, education and economic empowerment. They are developed and customized to address the needs of the Long Island Community. The NCBW Long Island Chapter has awarded nearly $100,000 dollars in scholarships over the past 35 years for college freshman and mature women currently enrolled in college.

I am honored to serve as President of the distinguished National Coalition of 100 Black Women Long Island Chapter.
