Welcome to the website of the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Long Island Chapter, Inc.
The chapter is proud of its thirty year history and remains committed to the mission to advocate for women of color through actions and alliances that promote leadership development and gender equity in the areas of health, education and economic empowerment.
Our membership reflects a group of outstanding and dynamic women who are leaders in their profession and in the community. Our program initiatives include: a women's and girls conference, a Kwanzaa celebration, an HIV/AIDS project collaboration, a teen mentoring project, a political candidates forum, a health advocacy newsletter, a signature biennial black and white candlelight ball, scholarship awards and recognition program, collaborative partnerships with community, civic and corporate organizations, and an advocacy agenda that addresses critical issues at all levels.
We are guided by the creed that "It is not enough to be compassionate. We must act."
We hope you enjoy your visit and we invite you to join forces with us to help make a greater impact on the Long Island community.
We will Educate, Engage, Empower!
